Portraits of Hope

APA Atlanta is excited to announce a new volunteer collaborative project: Portraits of Hope! For this project, we are gathering a volunteer team of emerging photographers to create a series of patient portraits that will be displayed in the Shepherd Center. It's a half-day commitment, and all shoots will be held at Shepherd Center in April and May with support from experienced crew and APA Board members.
Important details and info:
- WHO: Emerging photographers within our APA community (must be a Member) with 2-5 years experience as a professional photographer.
- WHAT: This initiative aims to provide patients with uplifting portraits that celebrate their strength and resilience as a part of Shepherd Center’s 50th anniversary. The portraits will be printed and displayed in a gallery show and opening reception!
- WHERE: The shoots will take place using provided equipment and strobe lighting in a studio set up on location at Shepherd Center.
- SUPPORT: Eley (Photographer and APA Member) and Sarah Howell (Producer and APA Board Member) in addition to the APA Board will be there to support and help achieve consistent lighting standards, and photo assistants will be available to assist you during the shoot.
